Subject: One item of interest
Although this film is dreadfully dull and talky, there is one element that is quite remarkable for its time. That is the obvious lesbian attraction between an office manager and her secretary. They even go to a striptease show then make plans to spend the night together. Nothing more is made of this, or what it has to do with the main story, but it's nonetheless a milestone of some sort.
Subject: i like it
but i have extremely bad taste
This film is more boring than watching paint dry.
Subject: Don't Encourage Them
I gave up quickly. And I like bad movies! Contrary to what stupid revisinist historians might say, This film is well below the standards of the late 30's. In fact, Just one year later, classics like "The Wizard of Oz" and "Gone With The Wind" were released. Even the B-Movies of the 30's were much better than this, in fact some B-Movies back then are better than some Box Office Smashes of today. So, If you understand the context of this film, It IS funny, But since it's almost always out of context, I have to give this 1/5.
P.S. It's NOT a porn film!
EDIT: To the previous reviewer: I like Ed Woods movies, But this just plain stinks!
Subject: Robin's review
Lighten up, Robin.
We're not talking about "Gone With the Wind" here. It is what it is and is a sign of the times.
Do you also compare Ed Wood to Speilberg?
Gimme a break!
